Before starting the course in industrial design engineering I completed a PhD in physics at Linacre College, University of Oxford.

My work was in condensed matter physics, using neutron scattering to research into magnetism in new materials, supervised by Prof. Andrew Boothroyd.

Thesis title:
Neutron Scattering Studies of Correlated Electron Systems

The neutron scattering experiments were performed at international research institutes, and involved careful sample preparation beforehand, and detailed mathematical analysis afterwards to process the data.
